Cop claims immunity in Pizza Hut door suit

The Madison County Record (Illinois): A police officer hit with a $311,700 default judgment for allegedly injuring a lawyer while opening the door for her at a Troy, Ill., Pizza Hut, says he should not be held liable in the case. Clarence Jackson, who was on duty at the time of the incident, filed a motion to vacate the judgment, claiming he was on duty answering a 911 call at the pizzeria.
