In response to the Walkerton, Indiana, Memories Pizza controversy, Cyndi Lauper's True Color's fund has started national campaign to end LGBTQ youth homelessness, who make up 40 percent of the homeless youth population, according to the website.

The campaign aims to match the $800,000 donated to Memories Pizza by April 29, 2015, deemed #40toNoneDay. The campaign, titled #Pizza4Equality is challenging pizza lovers across the country to donate on behalf of the "LGBTQ homeless youth epidemic" in an attempt to eradicate the issue.

True Colors suggests participants host "hate-free pizza parties," and donate to area organizations that are helping homeless youth regardless of sexuality. Supporting organizations can be found at www.fortytonone.org.
