Dewey's Pizza launches peach pizza trial for 1 week only

Cincinnati-based Dewey's Pizza is launching a one-week trial of the Peach Street seasonal pizza, dreamed up by a team member during an internal recipe contest, according to a press release.

The Peach Street pizza will be available to fans on Tuesday, July 30, running through Monday, Aug. 5, or while supplies last. It blends olive oil, mozzarella, fontina, fresh basil, Vidalia onions, prosciutto and white wine-infused peaches.

"The Recipe Battle is an internal contest that our team members look forward to," David Igel, head of product innovation for Dewey's Pizza, said in the press release. "It's an opportunity for our team members to showcase their creativity and the contest creates positive energy and fun throughout our company. We were thrilled with the variety of flavors presented by the teams."

The brand received more than 50 entries during the spring contest period and awarded more than $1,200 in prizes.
