A veteran of the Domino's chain's leadership has been named to lead its company-owned stores in the U.S., as well as operations innovation and global store training teams, a news release said. Tom Curtis has been named executive vice president of Team USA, where he will oversee 396 company-owned U.S. stores. He replaces Stan Gage, who recently bought 12 Domino's stores and is now a franchisee.
The Emory University grad began his Domino's career as an Atlanta store manager in 1985, then became a New Haven, Connecticut, franchisee until 2006. He joined corporate leadership that year and held numerous leadership positions in the field, and then as vice president of operations support for the U.S. Prior to his current role, Curtis served as vice president of franchise relations and operations innovation.
This follows a board action last week in which that governing body named Patricia E. Lopez and Corie S. Barry as board members.
"After a thorough and thoughtful search process, we are confident that Corie and Patricia will bring outstanding experience and valuable insights to our board," Domino's board chair David A. Brandon said in the release.
Lopez is High Ridge Brands Co. CEO and board member, and previously served leadership positions at Estée Lauder, Avon Products Inc. and Procter & Gamble Co. Barry is CFO and executive vice president for Best Buy Co., Inc. and previously worked at Deloitte & Touche.
Domino's now has 15,100 stores in more than 85 markets with more than $6.3 billion in global sales last year.
