Domino’s crowns international rookie manager of the year

A 27-year-old employee from Portsmouth, United Kingdom has been crowned international rookie manager of the year by Domino's Pizza. Jenny Price won the competition that featured 1,500 first-time managers from Domino's units throughout the world.

The Domino's International Rookie Manager of the Year title is awarded to a store manager who has been in charge for less than 18 months. Strict targets for sales and store standards must be achieved in order to qualify.

Price has helped the Portsmouth South store in Fratton exceed these goals. She joined the company in 2009 and became store manager after nine months. Price oversees 60 team members at the Fratton unit, with an above average retention rate. Her store is also involved in various community activities.

"I knew I had been nominated for the UK and Republic of Ireland rookie manager award and was staggered to win that, let alone be called back to the stage to also take the award for EMEA and then the ultimate prize – international. It was a very emotional moment and one that really made all the hard work worthwhile," Price said. "I love my job and I am determined to carry on developing the business and delivering more to customers in Fratton."
