A Domino’s customer from Berkeley, California, returned $1,300 that was accidentally left in the pizza box delivered to his home, reported KGO-TV.

Last week, Mike Vegas ordered pizza and some wings from his local Domino’s. He ate a slice and decided to save the rest for later.

After several hours, Vegas says he received numerous calls and messages from the delivery driver who had been on his way to the bank with cash in a box meant for wings, according to the report.

Vegas returned home from work at approximately 5 a.m. and headed to his refrigerator for some leftovers. What he thought was chicken wings turned out to be $1,300.

"I wrote a Facebook post and of course there's a long list of people arguing you should keep it, you shouldn't keep it,you should keep it, you shouldn't keep it," Vegas told KGO-TV. "I wanted to keep it, believe me. But I can't, I can't do that."

The local news crew accompanied Vegas as he returned to the Domino’s location to return the money.

Vegas is receiving free pizza for a year in recognition of his honesty.
