Same-store sales at international locations grew 7 percent.
Revenues for the quarter were $334.3 million, off 2 percent compared with revenues of $340.2 million for the 2007 second quarter. Year-to-date revenues were $673.4 million, off slightly compared with revenues of $679.6 million for the first half of last year.
Net income for the quarter was $18.7 million compared with $2.3 million in the 2007 second quarter. For the year to date, net income was $32.8 million compared with net income of $10.7 million in the first six months of 2007.
The increase in net income was due primarily to recapitalization expenses incurred during the second quarter of 2007 and gains on the sale of company-owned stores in 2008, according to Domino's officials.
