Domino's Pizza announced the launch of a specialized pizza delivery vehicle. Developers created the car after modifying a Chevrolet Spark, according to a Forbes report.

The DPX model is the first vehicle designed just to help delivery pizzas. Domino's franchisees have already ordered 100 DPX cars. The cars have an 80-pizza capacity and get 39 miles per gallon.

"With all the changes that have occurred with this brand, one of the things that hasn’t kept pace is our innovation within delivery vehicles," Russell Weiner, president of Domino’s USA, told Forbes. "So, what if a car was designed only for delivering pizzas?"

The cars are being delivered to 25 different markets across the country, including Boston, Dallas, Detroit, Houston, Indianapolis, New Orleans, San Diego and Seattle over the next three months, the report stated
