Domino's named 'Cool Place to Work'

ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Domino's Pizza's World Resource Center has again been named one of Michigan's "Cool Places to Work" by Crain's Detroit Business.
The "Cool Places to Work" competition was established to honor companies that work to create organizational value and business results through their programs, policies and practices in human resource management. Domino's initially received the designation in 2005.
Employee programs at Domino's include:
- Domino's Days — designated bonus days off to extend summer holidayweekends so team members can spend more time with their families.
- Domino's Anniversary Day — on December 9, Domino's anniversary, teammembers celebrating five-year company milestones receive monetary awards and attend a special breakfast with the CEO and the company's leadership team.
- The Domino's Pizza Partners Foundation — completely funded by employeeand franchise contributions, the Foundation has contributed more than $5 million in 21 years to help team members in need due to accidents, illness, or other personal tragedies.
- Annual REPPY (Recognizing Exceptional People) Awards — annualrecognition of exceptional team members nominated by their peers.Recipients receive a trophy, personalized video and stock options.
- Domino's Pizza Prep School — an intensive training program for office-based employees, during which they learn how to run a Domino's Pizzastore.
- The "Laff Staff" — a volunteer group of Domino's employees who coordinate special events, from organizing parties for 500 to more simple events like a visit from an ice cream vendor on a hot August afternoon.
Selection was based both on employee nominations and on numerical scores on a survey created by Southfield-based American Society of Employers, a membership organization that collects workplace data and offers training in human resource issues.
