Domino's Pizza Inc. will award special December bonuses to more than 11,500 hourly team members and drivers, which the company said in a news release equated to more than $9.6 million. Eligible team members will earn up to $1,200 in bonus compensation, the company said.
The company said it paid its corporate and supply chain frontline employees a special bonus earlier this year but did not specify the dollar amount.
"We strive every day to uphold our values of doing the right thing and putting people first," Domino's CEO Ritch Allison said in the release. "We have the honor and privilege of being open and operating throughout the U.S. during this crisis, and we recognize that we could not be doing it without the hard work and dedication of our team members. This is our way of saying thank you to these remarkable people."
Domino's, based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, has more than 17,200 stores in over 90 markets, with global retail sales of more than $14.3 billion last year. In the third quarter of 2020, Domino's had global retail sales of more than $3.7 billion.
