Domino's Pizza Australia completes European purchase

BRISBANE, Australia — Domino's Pizza Australia New Zealand Ltd (DPANZ) has finalized its purchase of 155 Domino's units in France, Belgium and the Netherlands from Domino's Pizza Inc. on July 3, giving the company its first foothold in Europe.

The purchase price was AUS $14.8 million (U.S. $11 million) with the contract specifying that a minimum of AUS $16.7 million (U.S. $12.4 million) be invested into an expansion plan. The deal was fully funded from debt.

DPANZ believes it can expand its European operation to more than 1,000 stores.
