Domino's Pizza awards top performers for 2002

LAS VEGAS -- Nearly 3,300 Domino's Pizza employees gathered for the Ann Arbor, Mich.-based company's 2003 Worldwide Rally, held May 22.

According to a news release, the event honors the company's top performers for their efforts in 2002.

Receiving the company's top individual honor, Manager of the Year, was Carrie DeLaurentis of Coronado, Calif. In 2002 DeLaurentis increased her store's sales 13.6 percent. DeLaurentis was Domino's national Rookie Manager of the Year last year.

Domino's "Busiest Store on the Planet" was a unit in Camp LeJeune, N.C., managed by Ed Brusaw. The store's 2002 sales totaled nearly $2.4 million. The store won the same award in 1998, 1999 and 2001.

Domino's Busiest International Store, located in England, logged $1.7 million in sales in 2002.

Additional Domino's honors were awarded to the following:

* Rookie Manager of the Year: Nathan Loughman, Olive Branch, Miss.

* Partner of the Year: Dick Hafner and Joe Romano of C.S.P.H., Inc, Dallas, Texas.

* Franchise Trainer of the Year: Lillian Sanchez, La Puenta, Calif.

* Franchise Supervisor of the Year: Pedro Lopez, West Covina, Calif.

* Franchise Regional Manager of the Year: Ken Schroepfer, Baton Rouge, La.

* Corporate Operations Director of the Year: Asi Sheikh, New York, N.Y.

* Corporate Regional Manager of the Year: Emanuele Acquafredda, New York, N.Y.

* Corporate Trainer of the Year: Carol Christopherson, Salt Lake City, Utah.
