Domino's Pizza Israel holds charity giveaway

January 5, 2005

JERUSALEM — Domino's Pizza Israel celebrated the chain's 44th birthday in December by donating more than 1,000 pizzas to 1,000-plus needy children throughout Israel.

According to a news release, as part of a cooperative effort with child-assistance organization Wizo Israel, Domino's gave family-sized pies to kids in Tel-Aviv, Petach-Tikva, Jerusalem and Haifa.

The 24-unit Domino's franchise group has struggled to remain in operation in recent years. It declared bankruptcy in 2004, but has since reorganized the business.
