LONDON — Domino's Pizza UK & IRL has appointed Patricia Thomas to the newly created role of operations director.

According to a news release, Thomas joined Domino's corporate operations in the United States 15 years ago and has served as vice president of learning and development, and vice president of distribution operations.

In her new position she will lead the operations department in supporting 152 franchisees and 407 franchised and joint-venture stores in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

"In a system which is expanding at such a rapid pace, there has never been a greater need to focus on our operations," said Domino's Pizza UK & Ireland chief operating officer Chris Moore. "We have been very fortunate in hiring Patricia and I am sure that we will quickly benefit from her extensive experience."
