January 31, 2007
LONDON —
Domino's PizzaU.K. & IRL announced it will remove all hydrogenated fats — known also as trans-fats — from its products by the end of July.
According to a news release, most of its pizzas and side orders have no trans-fats, but its desserts and thin crust dough will get some tweaking.
In 2004 Domino's introduced a reduced-fat mozzarella called Delight, as well as a comprehensive Food Guide listing the nutritional and allergen content of its products. All the chain's ingredients are tested regularly to ensure they are free of genetically modified organisms.
