Comparable store sales at Domino's Pizza U.K. & IRL grew 20 percent last year, the company reported Feb. 15.
According to Citywire, CEO, Stephen Hemsley was especially pleased with Domino's performance, considering the entire U.K. pizza market grew about 7.5 percent last year.
"The market is still dominated by small independents, and this is who we appear to be taking business from," said Hemsley.
Revenues were up nearly 35 percent over '01 to £43.8 million ($62.6 million U.S.), as were pretax profits, £2.9 million ($4.1 million U.S.), nearly 31 percent.
Of the company's 237 stores, about 200 are franchised. It plans to nearly double its total store numbers by 2006.
