Donatos Pizzeria CEO, Rose, retiring, replacement search underway

April 24, 2003

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Donatos Pizzeria CEO Bill Rose will retire this year from the 180-store pizza chain. He has held the post since Oakbrook, Ill.-based McDonald's Corp. bought the Columbus-based company in 1999.

A report in Business First of Columbus cited a Donatos press release in which founder and Executive Chairman Jim Grote called Rose a person who shared his "commitment to Donatos' mission and promise."

According to the report, a search for Rose's successor is underway, and both internal and external candidates will be considered.

Rose will work with Grote and the Donatos management team during the transition.
