Fast casual pizza brand Dough Boy Pizza has partnered with craft beer bar Harlem Hops to open a second Atlanta location at Lee + White Food Hall on Sept. 22. This franchise location will be owned and operated by Kim Harris, Danielle Scarborough, Stacey Lee Spratt and Dalen Spratt — HBCU graduates of Clark Atlanta University, who call themselves The CAU Collective, according to a press release.
Harlem Hops is the first African American-owned craft bar in Manhattan. The beer bar currently operates locations in Harlem and Chelsea.
"Not only will customers enjoy freshly-made, authentic, Neapolitan-style pizza, but they'll also have the opportunity to pair it with some of our in-house signature brews," a spokesperson for The CAU Collective said in the press release. "Many of the beers at Dough Boy Pizza x Harlem Hops will be made by local, small-batch, family-owned businesses, and, in some cases, by people of color."
Dough Boy Pizza specializes in Neapolitan-style pizza. Customers order directly from electronic kiosks with no cashiers.
"With Dough Boy Pizza's concept, we're helping franchisees control labor and food costs through our technology-focused approach," Erica Barrett, the creator of Dough Boy Pizza, said in the press release. "This concept is perfect for millennials who want to grab their pizza and go — we wanted to build a restaurant of the future."
