Eagle Boys Pizza will open one new store on average every two business days during May and June as part of its $20 million expansion strategy for 2010.
The 20 new stores are located in Sydney and Adelaide, Australia, and are among the record 50 new stores the company plans to open this year.
Eagle Boys CEO Todd Clayton said the company's rapid store growth was the result of the successful launch of 31 new menu items, double-digit sales growth and a spike in inquiries from potential franchisees.
Half of the new stores are in Sydney, highlighting the company's growing presence in this major market, Clayton said.
The new store design sees space maximized in the waiting area, additional customer seating, repositioned menu boards and inbuilt refrigerators. Behind the scenes, streamlined kitchen areas improve pizza making efficiency.
