Experienced franchisees acquire 2 Kentucky Mr Gatti's locations

Mr Gatti's Pizza has announced the acquisition of its Shepherdsville and Brandenburg, Kentucky, restaurants by experienced local entrepreneurs, according to a press release.

Multi-unit franchisee Aftab Siddiqui has purchased the Mr Gatti's restaurant at 162 Joe B. Hall Ave. in Shepherdsville, marking his fourth Mr Gatti's location. Serial business entrepreneur Richie Chism has acquired his hometown's Brandenburg restaurant at 584 Bypass Road.

"It was a perfect match of my love for Mr Gatti's and my mission to preserve quality jobs for every team member while continuing to serve great food at an incredible price to our local community," Siddiqui, whose Shepherdsville restaurant has been open since 1983, said in the press release.

"Aftab and Richie are exactly the kind of franchise partners we value," Jim Phillips, CEO of Mr Gatti's Pizza, said in the press release. "They understand the importance of community, team culture and reinvesting in the business. Their commitment demonstrates strong confidence in the Mr Gatti's system and our ability to build on a powerful legacy for years to come."

Mr Gatti's has more than 200 locations open or in development across Texas and the Southeastern U.S. The brand is also looking to expand in Houston.
