FastCasual has opened nominations for the 2026 Top 100 Movers & Shakers, an annual distinction that has become the ultimate "badge of honor" for the fast casual segment. Far more than a simple sales ranking, the list celebrates the trailblazers, trendsetters and tech-innovators who are redefining the American dining experience.

In an industry where competition is fierce, being named a "Mover & Shaker" provides a level of distinction that commands instant recognition from peers, investors and customers alike. How the selection works

The 2026 ranking will feature 100 brands and 25 industry executives, a slight expansion from previous years to reflect the incredible caliber of leadership in the arena. To ensure a data-driven and objective selection process, all nominated brands will be featured in the Fast Casual Index, a comprehensive industry report published by Loop and Fast Casual.

The index tracks critical success metrics, including:

Expansion and growth: Total location footprint and recent scaling.
Tech integration: Innovative use of AI, automation and digital ordering.
Market sentiment: Reputation, customer sentiment and social media presence.

How to nominate

There is no cost to submit a nomination. Brands must nominate themselves by answering a curated set of questions regarding their business strategy, operational excellence and vision for the future.

While the process is transparent, the editors' decisions are final. Brands are encouraged to be as detailed as possible in their submissions, highlighting the unique stories that make their concept a true "Mover & Shaker."
