SALEM, Ore.--Figaro's Italian Pizza, a 100-unit ready-to-eat and take-and-bake chain, announced its entry into the Virginia market in the town of Mechanicsville.
According to a news release, the grand opening of the 1,500-square-foot store, which seats about 15 people, is set for March 25. Franchisees Bruce and Brenda Downie also have purchased area director's rights and hope to open 80 to 100 Figaro's locations in Virginia over the next 10 years.
"I love the take-and-bake concept," said Bruce Downie. "It's unique to Virginia and has been very successful in other areas of the country. It's the best pizza you can eat at home."
Figaro's recently added a line of low-carb pizzas (see Figaro's Italian Pizza unveils low-carb pizzas line) to its menu, which also includes lasagna, calzones and salads.
