Two pizza brands are adding menu options this week, beginning with a plant-based offering at Fired Pie, where the chain's plant-based chorizo crumbles are now available to kick up the spice in its pizzas and salads. The brand also added a Tostada Pizza, with house made dough, vegan black beans, mozzarella, mild cheddar cheese, chicken, romaine lettuce, Pico de Gallo, Ranch dressing, chopped green onions and tortilla strips, according to a news release.
Pizzas and that Tostada pie can also be made vegan with the addition of the chorizo in place of chicken, along with vegan cheese and no Ranch dressing. The brand said the items are now available at its 19 Phoenix metro area and Tucson stores.
Meanwhile, 65-store Your Pie, said it is now offering pasta nationwide, including Zia's Meatball Marinara and Cheesy Alfredo, as well as pasta dishes inspired by the brand's pizzas, like The Nat with penne, basil pesto, sundried tomatoes, spinach, chicken, mozzarella and feta, a news release said.
Customers can also build their own pasta dish with a penne base, choice of sauce and cheese, and any protein and veggie options. The brand began piloting pasta in a few stores earlier this year and rolled it out systemwide due to the successful response.
