Firenza Pizza is expanding its Charlotte presence, opening a second location there in June, a news release said. The new University City Boulevard restaurant is owned and operated by Emily Wagner, who is slated to open five restaurants throughout the Charlotte area.
The location will celebrate its grand opening June 5-10 by giving guests a free signature or four-topping 10-inch pizza with a $2 donation to EmpowHERment or Safe Alliance. In addition, the first 10 people in line on Friday and Saturday, June 8 and 9, will get free pizza for a year.
"The Charlotte area is experiencing a culinary explosion and we are extremely excited to get in on the action," Wagner said in the release.
Wagner wanted to start a business legacy to pass down to her children and their kids, so moved to Charlotte from her previous Ohio home. Today, there are 15 Firenza locations operating in seven states, with 25 more in various stages of development.
