First quarter comps up 5.4% at Pizza Pizza

TORONTO—Pizza Pizza saw its comparable-store sales rise 5.4 percent for the quarter ended March 31, 2006. The company did not report revenue or profit for the period.

According to a news release, the chain opened nine restaurants and closed two during the quarter, bringing the total number to 512 locations.
