News reports out of Ohio say five Papa John's units were closed without explanation in several towns on Sept. 20.
According to the News-Messenger, the general manager of a unit in Westlake said the store was shuttered without employees being forewarned. A delivery driver for a store in Elyria told the Chronicle-Telegram the same happened there.
In the Chronicle-Telegram piece, Papa John's spokesperson Karen Sherman said the stores belonged to one franchise group, but she declined to name it. The News-Messenger story identified the owners as PJ North, based in Westlake.
