Florida's Westshore Pizza eyes Ohio expansion

September 22, 2011

Florida-based Westshore Pizza, which currently includes about 45 locations mostly in the Tampa market, is expanding throughout Ohio. The chain currently has three restaurants in the Buckeye State, having recently opened in the Cincinnati, Cleveland and Columbus areas.

Westshore was founded in 1994 and specializes in New York-style, brick-oven pizzas and Philly cheesesteaks.

According to the Columbus Dispatch, at least 20 more locations are planned for Ohio, including 10 in Central Ohio and Cincinnati, within the next 10 years.

The Westshore unit currently open in Columbus offers delivery and carryout. The new stores, which will be franchised, will include delivery, carryout and dine-in.

The company is also planning to open stores in California and Georgia.
