ORLANDO, Fla. -- In an agreement announced at the FS/TEC conference, held Oct. 27-30 in Orlando, Citysearch said it will use Food.com's ordering solutions on Citysearch.com.
The partnership will enable restaurant customers to browse menus and order meals online directly from local restaurants.
Citysearch is an Internet provider of information on U.S. cities, and Food.com provides online ordering solutions to restaurants and retailers, including Donatos, Pizzeria Uno and Papa Gino's. It also licenses its technology to companies that use geo-codes (latitude/longitude) to match consumers to vendors such as Papa John's.
"Now Internet-connected consumers across the country can find their favorite restaurant and review specific information online at Citysearch.com," said Gary Leskun, senior vice president of business development for Food.com. "Restaurateurs now have the chance to access the strength of the Citysearch brand nationally, reaching their more than five million unique users a month."
