DALLAS -- CEC Entertainment Inc. (NYSE: CEC), parent company of Chuck E. Cheese's, said that a former restaurant manager in Ohio has filed a lawsuit against the company regarding overtime compensation.
A Dow Jones Newswires report said that in CEC's most recent Form 10-Q filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission, the company said the lawsuit alleges violations of the state wage and hour laws involving unpaid overtime wages. In the filing, CEC called the lawsuit without merit and said it will defend itself vigorously.
In the suit, which was filed on June 26 in the Court of Common Pleas in Cayahoga County, Ohio, the plaintiff is seeking class-action status by representing all of CEC's Ohio restaurant managers. Damages weren't specified.
