Dallas-based Cici's Pizza plans to open as many as 100 low-priced buffet pizza stores in Colorado over the next decade.
According to the Denver Business Journal, leading the effort will be former Pizza Hut president and CEO, Allan Huston, former Pizza Hut COO, Pat Williamson, and former Boston Chicken (now Boston Market) president and CEO, Larry Zwain.
Under the name Pizza PALS (an acronym for passion, attitude, leadership and sales), the trio will operate out of Denver, with Huston over company finances, Williamson managing human resources, and Zwain as president.
Huston served as Pizza Hut president from 1992 to 1997, when he left and was replaced by former advertising executive, Mike Rawlings.
The group plans to open two locations this year; the first is set for August.
Cici's was founded in 1985 and has 375 stores in 18 states. Revenues for 2001 were $315 million.
