Fort Lauderdale gets a taste of New York with Wiseguy Pizza

Thompson Restaurants, a family-owned hospitality company, has opened its eighth Wiseguy Pizza location and its first in Florida. Located in Fort Lauderdale, within the Bank of America Plaza, the pizzeria will celebrate a grand opening on May 7, according to a press release.

To mark the occasion, Wiseguy Pizza will offer free cheese and pepperoni slices to all in-store customers from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., following a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11 a.m.

The award-winning pizzeria is known for its New York-style pizzas, featuring a signature chewy, golden crust cooked in traditional stone deck ovens. Wiseguy sources its ingredients from top producers, including California for its fresh-packed tomato sauce and Wisconsin for its all-natural cheese. Extra virgin olive oil and Parmigiano-Reggiano are imported directly from Italy.

Wiseguy prioritizes detail, making its sauces and dressings in-house and using filtered water for optimal dough quality.

Beyond classic pizzas, Wiseguy offers a rotating menu of specialty options, including vegan, vegetarian and unique flavors like Korean Chicken and Paneer Tikka. The restaurant also features cauliflower crust pizzas in 10-inch sizes, with choices like Mushroom Truffle, Il Capo, Buffalo, and Backyard Pie.

Customers can purchase pizzas by the slice or whole, with the option of the 18-inch "Big Apple Size," which is 65% larger than a standard large pizza. This variety caters to those seeking a quick bite or pizzas perfect for sharing with family, friends, or colleagues.
