The Fresh Tomato Pie returns to Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana on June 28 and will be available through Sept. 29 at all 17 locations, according to a press release.
The pizza has been a fan favorite since it debuted in 2008. The pie features a blend of fresh, native tomatoes, mozzarella cheese, garlic, basil, grated Pecorino-Romano cheese and a touch of imported olive oil, all atop the pizza's signature crispy yet chewy, slightly charred crust.
"Our customers can't get enough of the Fresh Tomato Pie," Jennifer Bimonte-Kelly, granddaughter of Frank Pepe, said in the press release. "They ask about it all year long, and their faces just light up when it's finally back every summer. It's moments like these that remind us why we love what we do and why we've kept our family traditions alive for nearly 100 years."
Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana began in New Haven, Connecticut. The brand has grown to 17 locations.
