Fresh Brothers Pizza part of LAX International's new lineup

September 12, 2014

The Los Angeles International Airport plans to open a handful of new restaurant concepts in one of its international terminals – Terminal 2. The OC Register reported the news this week and said the influx of eateries will double LAX's current offerings in that terminal.

Airport officials announced some of the 12 concepts on Wednesday. They are expected to open in 2015 and include:

  • SeaLegs Wine Bar of Huntington Beach;
  • Barney's Beanery;
  • The Pie Hole;
  • Pepita Cantina;
  • Pick Up Stix;
  • Fresh Brothers Pizza;
  • Ciabatta Bar;
  • BUILT;
  • And two Starbucks units.

Current Terminal 2 vendors, including Burger King and Wolfgang Puck Express, are going to close to make room for the new concepts. The story said the Terminal 2 project will cost $300 million.

The terminal serves those flying Air Canada, Hawaiian Air and Virgin Atlantic. LAX said the new restaurants are expected to increase sales by 35 percent.

According to the LAX website, there is only one other pizza concept in the airport – 800 Degrees Pizza.
