STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- Globe Restaurant Group, Inc., franchisor for the Goodfella's Brick Oven Pizza & Pasta concept, announced the opening of its Danbury, Conn., restaurant, the company's 10th unit.
"We are very excited to reach this important milestone," E. Jay Myers, co-founder and president of the chain, said in a news release. "I can't believe how fast it happened, especially during these difficult economic times."
The company, which began franchising in 1999, has three different unit offerings: a small "upscale cafe" and delivery concept, which seats 30 to 40; a free-standing 200-seat model; and a mid-size delivery unit that seats 90 to 120.
According to the release, another seven units are slated to open this year, including ones in Puerto Rico and Raleigh, N.C.
