GREENSBORO, N.C.--A Domino's Pizza delivery driver was shot during an apparent robbery on March 18.
According to the Greensboro News Record, the unidentified driver was transported to the hospital with serious injuries following the assault.
The driver, who is in his 70s, apparently had made his delivery when a man with a gun shot him in the stomach. Police said it's unclear whether anything was stolen.
After the shooting, the driver called 911 and the staff at Domino's from his cell phone.
Several pizza-delivery drivers have been robbed in the city in recent months, though no one was shot in those other incidents. Police have not determined if Thursday's incident is linked to those robberies.
