Half-year profits plummet at Domino's Pizza Australia

Sydney Morning Herald: Domino's Pizza Enterprises, the Brisbane, Australia-based franchisee of more than 600 stores, reported a 46.2 percent decline in net profit after three failed pizza promotions in the first quarter and a costly European acquisition.
During the half-year ended Dec. 31, revenue rose 36.4 percent to $118.1 million after the addition of 181 stores to its network, moving the total count to 619. Same-store sales rose 3.2 percent, compared to 5 percent in the same period last year.
