Champion Foods, a take-and-bake food company that has more than 10 private-label pizza brands has partnered with Hungry Girl, according to Crain’s Detroit Business.
Hungry Girl is the creation of Lisa Lillien, a blogger who writes about healthy food options. The new pizza, Hungry Girl Originals pizza, is designed to be low in calories and high in fiber and protein. It will be available in 132 Meijer stores throughout Michigan. They cost $6.99 for one package with two pizzas and have between 260 and 280 calories, according to the story.
