Hungry Howie’s expands North Carolina presence

September 18, 2014

Hungry Howie's Pizza continues its growth in North Carolina with the reopening of its second restaurant in Greensboro. According to a news release, this marks the Michigan-based chain's 15th location for brothers Mike, James and Steven Peterson as well as business partner Alison Nelson.

The group recently reopened Hungry Howie's Pizza's first Greensboro location in July. The three brothers began their careers with Hungry Howie's Pizza as teenagers working at the store level, the release said. They opened their first restaurant in 1984 and currently have plans to open 20 Hungry Howie's locations across the Carolinas.

As part of its opening celebration, the new location will make donations to Greensboro organizations, Habitat for Humanity and Pretty in Pink Foundation.

"We are proud to be expanding Hungry Howie's Pizza's presence in Greensboro with our second restaurant in the city,” Mike Peterson said in the release. "We have received an overwhelmingly positive response from our first Hungry Howie's Pizza location in the community, and we look forward to providing even more Greensboro residents with the fresh pizza and unparalleled service that Hungry Howie's Pizza is known for."
