Hungry Howie's kicks off annual fundraiser for breast cancer research

Hungry Howie's is kicking off its annual Love, Hope & Pizza campaign which raises funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation. The Michigan-based pizza brand has raised more than $4.5 million since the campaign's launch in 2009 by donating proceeds from every pizza sold in October. The fundraiser is now in its 15th year, according to a press release.

Hungry Howie's serves its pizza in branded pink pizza boxes during the campaign, which launches Sept. 25 and runs through Oct. 30. Customers can make additional contributions by rounding up their bill to the next dollar or by donating $1, $5 or $10.

"Hungry Howie's has always believed in the power of the community and giving back. Since 2009, we have committed to spreading Love, Hope & Pizza by supporting those fighting against the most common cancer in women," Steve Jackson, CEO of Hungry Howie's, said in the release. "Every one of us has a friend our family member that has battled breast cancer. We remain incredibly dedicated to making an impact and hope to surpass our goal of five million dollars in donations in 2023."

Hungry Howie's has more than 535 stores across the U.S.
