Denver, Colorado is opening a pair of Hungry Howie's Pizza locations in Aurora and Thornton by offering a large single-topping pizza for $7.99, a news release said.
The brand, which revolves around flavored-crust pies, said its Aurora store is owned by husband-and-wife team, Mike Maloney and Michelle Arnold, who will see Maloney's daughter, Mikayla, manage day-to-day operations of that locations, with plans for more in the area in the future.
"It's exciting to start my franchising journey with Hungry Howie's," Maloney said in the release. "I did my due diligence when I was looking into which franchise to buy, and Hungry Howie's always came up as a top contender. The cost was affordable, and the franchise has a proven method with great products. I'm looking forward to serving high-quality Flavored Crust pizzas with a side of excellent customer service to the Denver community."
The brand's Thornton franchisee, Ian Ferguson, grew up in Hungry Howie's home state of Michigan. He and his wife, Alissa — both full-time dentists — run the store with partial owner and day-to-day operations manager, Deserey Peschard. The Fergusons also plan more openings in North Denver.
The Aurora store is on East Mississippi Avenue, while the store in Thornton is located on Washington Street.
Hungry Howie's now has more than 525 locations in 21 states.
