Imo's Pizza launches frozen pizza in select markets

St. Louis-based Imo's Pizza has launched a frozen pizza product at grocery stores in the greater St. Louis area and retail locations in Alabama, Arkansas, Iowa, Missouri, Kansas, Illinois, Tennessee, Kentucky, Indiana, Mississippi, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Virginia, according to a press release.
The pizzas are expected to be in retailers by Oct. 3 in select markets.
New Imo's frozen pizza varieties include cheese, sausage, pepperoni, bacon, deluxe (sausage, bacon, green peppers, mushrooms, onion), four meat (sausage, pepperoni, bacon, Canadian bacon) and sausage and pepperoni. The ingredients and toppings used to make Imo's frozen pizzas are the same as those that go onto pizzas made at Imo's Pizza restaurants.
"Imo's Pizza has built a loyal following over the past 58 years, and today we are proud to offer our fans another way to satisfy their craving for the original St. Louis-style pizza," Mark Miner, Imo's CEO said in the press release. "While nothing compares to a freshly baked Imo's Pizza from one of our 99 restaurants, our Imo's frozen pizza brings our parlor to your kitchen."
Imo's Pizza operates 99 locations in Missouri, Illinois and Kansas. Additionally, Imo's Pizza products — consisting of more than 17 different items, including frozen pizzas, sauces, dressings, marinades, pizza crusts and Provel cheese products – are available at participating grocery chains in the greater St. Louis area.
