Inferno Pizza & Pints opens in Iowa

Inferno Pizza & Pints has opened in Bettendorf, Iowa. Owner Brian Islami also owns the Flip's Pancake House locations, according to a report in The Quad-City Times.

The pizza brand was conceived after Islami began to travel to Italy each year to visit his brother.

Islami was approached by the leasing agent for a vacant restaurant spot, and he chose to open an Italian-style pizzeria.

"This opportunity came up, so I thought why not try real Italian-style pizza. So that's what we're going to do," he told the news outlet.

The restaurant serves Roman-style pizzas on paddles.
