SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- Infonox, a financial solutions software firm, introduced its MerchantPC product at the recent International Pizza Expo in Las Vegas.
The integrated PC-based POS software solution uses wireless, PDA and Internet technologies to integrate customer payment transactions (table service, counter service and delivery), customer reporting, inventory control and financial management activities for foodservice operations.
The software works with advanced optional modules such as PalmPay for mobile credit card payment at the customer doorstep and ActiveTables for tableside ordering and payment.
Infonox targets small to mid-size retail foodservice operations with single or multiple locations, and specializes in the pizza delivery industry. The new turnkey solution is designed for easy setup and use without requiring any specialized knowledge of PCs. Flexible reporting and other remote management features allow restaurant managers to track profitability, customers, inventory and purchasing in real-time.
Merchant PC runs on any PC based system running any version of Microsoft Windows and is compatible with Javelin, Posiflex, Par and IBM Sure POS terminals. PalmPay and ActiveTables work on any Palm OS devices from Palm, Sony, Clié, Samsung phones or Handspring. These applications also work on Windows CE devices such as iPaq, Jornada and Axim.
