IPO won't affect Domino's Pizza expansion plans in New Zealand

Manawatu Standard: Domino's Pizza Australia is pushing on with its New Zealand expansion plan, regardless of whether its Australian parent decides to go public. (Read alsoDomino's Pizza Australia eyes 500 units post IPO.)

The general manager of Domino's in New Zealand, Peter Jones, said there was a clear expansion plan mapped out, share float or not.

"The New Zealand expansion was happening either way," he said.

The chain has 17 stores, and Jones described the plan to expand the business as aggressive. That involved lifting store numbers to 51 by the end of 2005. This would be done mostly by the integration of the Pizza Haven chain, which Domino's bought in January. Jones said those stores would be re-branded to Domino's by July.
