July-Aug. comps down 7% at Pizza Hut

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Yum! Brands, parent of Dallas-based
Pizza Hut, reported comparable-store sales at the chain's 1,800 U.S. units fell 7 percent for the four weeks ended Aug. 12, 2006. According to a news release, comps fell 2 percent in the same period last year.
Pizza Hut does not report sales of its domestic franchise stores.
