Latitude Food Group taps James O'Reilly as CEO

O'Reilly succeeds Cody Towns, the company's legal counsel and a current board member, who had been serving as interim CEO during the executive search.

O'Reilly brings more than three decades of experience leading multi-unit and franchise restaurant systems to the role. He most recently served as CEO of Ascent Hospitality Management, the parent company of Perkins and Huddle House. His previous executive experience includes serving as CEO of Smokey Bones and Long John Silver's, as well as holding senior marketing roles at Sonic Drive-In, Einstein Bros. and Yum! Brands.

The appointment comes as Latitude Food Group focuses on scaling its portfolio through franchising, following recent increases in same-store traffic and sales. The company is backed by investors at Kennedy Lewis.

Towns said the executive search prioritized finding a leader who could advance the company's existing vision.
