Localities across the U.S. are deploying all kinds of incentives to get Americans to get vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus, so American's favored food, pizza, was bound to figure into the mix at some point.

In Maryland, in fact, Ledo Pizza is partnering with Governor Larry Hogan to drive up the vaccination rate by offering free pies to everyone who completes their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine in Maryland throughout May and June, a news release said.

Now through June 30 — or until 10,000 pizzas have been given away — all Ledo Pizza locations throughout Maryland will give one free eight-inch cheese pizza to participants who have received at least one of their two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.

To access the deal, Maryland residents need to complete a form by going online to Ledo4Vaccines.com. In exchange, Ledo will send that individual a free pizza coupon via text within 24 hours. The coupon must be redeemed on online orders within seven days of receiving it.

Ledo was founded in Maryland and is now headquartered in Annapolis. Systemwide, the brand has more than 100 locally owned locations in seven states.
