JJ's Pizza, a Lewisport, Kentucky, staple for more than 30 years, has transitioned ownership to local residents Amber and Ben Snyder. The Snyders take over from Joann and Bob Shyver, who owned the business since 2011, according to a report in The Owensboro Times.

"Jim and Minnie laid the foundation while Joann and Bob paved the way, and now it's time for the next generation of owners," Amber Snyder told the news outlet. "With the help of our children, Joann and Bob's grandchildren and Jim and Minnie's great-grandchildren, we are full of new ideas and pizzas to keep you on your toes."

The Snyders plan to expand seating at both Lewisport and Thruston locations, potentially host events, and explore adding an alcohol license.

"We are eager and looking forward to the switch," Snyder told the news outlet. "For now, we are getting in there and learning every element of the business to ensure a smooth transition."

The family is learning the business and expects a smooth transition by January 2025.
