Loop Pizza Grill wants 20 Charlotte locations

CHARLOTTE, N.C.—Southern Slice Inc. plans to open 20 Loop Pizza Grill restaurants in North Carolina by 2010.

According to the Charlotte Business Journal, the franchisee company will open the restaurants in Charlotte, Greensboro, Raleigh, Wilmington and surrounding areas.

The first Charlotte restaurant is slated to open in June in SouthPark. Winston-Salem, N.C.-based Southern Slice said as many as 10 of the 20 restaurants may be located in Charlotte.

Southern Slice already operates one Loop there, but recently bought franchise rights to the restaurant from The Loop Restaurant Group of Jacksonville, Fla. According to its Web site, there are 22 Loops.
