Long Range Systems, a supplier of technology designed to improve and enhance the guest experience, announced an updated version of On Cue for Restaurants. OCR is a waitlist app that integrates with multiple hardware tools to form a complete table management solution, the company said.
OCR provides restaurant guests the option of being notified their table is available by either text message or by an LRS integrated guest pager. Version 2.0 is integrated with Table Updater, a handheld device enabling staff to update a table status from across the restaurant and sync the app on up to three iPads in a single location. This feature is designed to allow flexibility for restaurants that have multiple hosts, points of entry or independently managed seating areas. Users can remain informed of actions taken by other staff interfacing with the app via an activity log that provides a running status.
"On Cue is all about enabling simplicity and efficiency at the front door," said John Weber, chief technology officer of LRS, in a statement. "With Table Updater, the host doesn’t have to leave the stand to go scout for open tables, creating a better front door experience for customers and a more efficient table management process for the restaurant."
The latest version of OCR also offers multiple language options, a key differentiator for multinational brands, the company said.
"A simple and effective table management system liberates staff to focus on the guest experience," said Weber. "It also helps maximize profits by ensuring that tables are being turned in the most efficient manner possible."
